In responding to the Pharisees demand for a sign, Jesus declares their awaiting damnation. We pray that you aren’t under that same damnation; won’t you seek Jesus today?
In responding to the Pharisees demand for a sign, Jesus declares their awaiting damnation. We pray that you aren’t under that same damnation; won’t you seek Jesus today?
Jesus not only exposed their real motive for asking but also explained that they had blindly overlooked the sign they sought. Learn more as Bro. Jeff continues sharing the “rest” of the story.
In this critical message, Bro. Jeff poses two questions. What kind of heart do you have? What do your idle words reveal about you? Will those be held against you, or have you met Jesus in a personal experience?
The break-in. The big choice. You are a valued possession, worth being freed from the enemy. But the choice is yours. Do you have real peace in your soul?
While Jesus exposes the hypocrisy, corruption, and evil of the Pharisees to the point that they became irrationally absurd, His miracles demonstrated that He IS the promised Messiah. In His kingdom is REAL rest.
Our merciful Messiah provides rest, real soul rest, for the suffering and the outcast. Tonight, Bro. Jeff encourages us with truth about our compassionate Savior. Have you rested in Jesus?
Oh the irony! The ONE who is our rest left strict Sabbath-keepers with no rest while performing a miraculous work that left a struggling one with rest.
Using a meal to illustrate the “rest” of the story, Jesus exposes the Pharisees for their lack of understanding of God. Our merciful God cares more about people than legalistic rituals and laws. “We have more than a Sabbath law, we have a Sabbath Lord and can rest in Him.”
Jesus is who He said He is! Here, Bro. Jeff reminds us of the great power and authority of Jesus. He only need speak to make miraculous things happen.
Our Lord is Lord of the Sabbath! Christ rules and is our Rest, which is the focus of today’s message. Learn more as Bro. Jeff walks us through Jesus’s response to the Pharisees when they admonished Him for plucking corn on the day of rest.
