Paul’s warning to the Galatians about the motives of the Judaizers is relevant for us today. Bro. Jeff challenges us with the question, “Are we glorying in the flesh or in the cross?”
Galatians 6:11-15 (KJV)
11 Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand.
12 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
2 Thessalonians 3:17 (KJV)
17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
Galatians 4:15 (KJV)
15 Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.
2 Thessalonians 2:2 (KJV)
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
