The Bible admonishes us to abstain from evil, but how do we do that? We can all benefit from Bro. Jeff’s list of keys for avoiding evil.
The contrast between the world’s perception of greatness and God’s view of greatness is clear in the passage of scripture that is the focus this message. Our view of greatness often falls more in line with that of the Jewish leaders in Jesus’ day, but Bro. Jeff encourages to to adopt God’s view of greatness and to see Jesus for who He really is.
When we don’t pray as we ought, the Holy Spirit weeps. Why? Because he knows the wonders that happen when people pray. Bro. Jeff highlights several ways where we hinder spiritual progress and grieve the Spirit by our lack of real prayer.
We have much for which to be thankful. For many of us, that includes our possessions. A church under construction also has excellent possessions; however, these are nonmaterial. Bro. Jeff describes some here.
