The contrast between the world’s perception of greatness and God’s view of greatness is clear in the passage of scripture that is the focus this message. Our view of greatness often falls more in line with that of the Jewish leaders in Jesus’ day, but Bro. Jeff encourages to to adopt God’s view of greatness and to see Jesus for who He really is.
It has been said that had the Bible must be true because no human would have thought to written it the way it is. Bro. Jeff points us to the passages where our Lord and Savior reveals Himself to be lower than the lowliest. In 1st-century, slaves were the lowest on the social ladder; Jesus came to serve even the slaves. He paid the sin ransom for all, for you and I!
Our prayer is that we will see ourselves as God sees us and see others as God sees them. Bro. Jeff delivered a powerful message tonight on attitude – how our insecurities affect our attitude and how we can receive blessings from God if we’ll walk through the door of humility where we can think rightly about ourselves.
