Sermons on Satan (Page 10)
“When the evidence is right in front of you, and you can’t see it, then you know you are blind.” The same spiritual blindness exhibited by Jewish leaders in Jesus’ day is evident today; they didn’t believe that Jesus is who He says He is. What irrefutable evidence do we have? There is a warning to those who persistently reject Christ; Bro. Jeff explains in today’s message.
While the list of evil things is extensive, Bro. Jeff describes some broad categories of evil from which we should abstain. Thankfully, Christ provides a way of escape! Listen to learn more about how to fill your spiritual gas tank so that you can keep going and growing in the Lord.
Are you in the race, or are you on the spiritual sideline? What makes people quit going and growing for God? We are encouraged and exhorted to abstain from those things which displease God as Bro. Jeff continues this series in 1st Thessalonians.
Where is your focus? Are your eyes on Jesus? Do the works you perform honor God? Are your thoughts truthful and edifying? Bro. Jeff continues to encourage us to examine our priorities so that we can walk more closely with God.
If we are going to keep our spiritual gas tank full and avoid sideline Christianity, we must discern between good or bad, right or wrong, true or false. Some things are more important, higher priority. Tonight, Bro. Jeff focuses on the spiritual realm and the evil spirits we might be encountering and don’t even know it, like in listening to false teachers.
Because it is so important, determining how we behave and controlling our emotions, what we believe is the focus of tonight’s study. Learn more about about discernment and false teaching of the day as Bro. Jeff begins discussing a first priority in areas we should examine and test, “The Teaching We Hear.”
In this continuation, Bro. Jeff points out ways in which Satan is trying to destroy the family and deceive about salvation. We are all susceptible to the traps the enemy sets; here we learn more about how to avoid a departure from faith.
On which cruise have you embarked – the old gospel ship or one that is on a departure from faith? Bro. Jeff warns us about the demonic activity in our culture and exhorts us to stay away from the wrong ship with the wrong captain.
Like an army putting down their weapons and avoiding the battle, Christians are rendered powerless when they allow Satan to distract them from prayer. Bro. Jeff explains that we’ll get more done through prayer than through anything else. This powerful message will continue to bless every time it is heard.
