Blessed be the LORD ~Psalm 28:6

Welcome Home, Part 19

Even when God puts you in a wilderness of trials, tribulations, unjust treatment, He is working out His will and purpose.  Israel’s history provides great Biblical examples that highlight God’s sovereignty and His work in people’s lives.  Bro. Jeff points out what we can learn from their successes and failures and how we can stay on the path of belief and trust in Him.  Are you in the center of God’s plan for your life?

Welcome Home, Part 17

As we continue learning about the first missionary journey, we find out that John Mark backed out.  Why did he do that?  Bible scholars have speculated, but the real application is in examining reasons believers give up today.  In this powerful message, Bro. Jeff goes through his “dangerous dozen” reasons why Christians drop out of their Christian service.

Welcome Home, Part 16

While the darkness was coming on one, the darkness left the other. The sorcerer was not seeing anything, but the deputy saw it all.  Both were in spiritual darkness, but the sorcerer gained physical darkness as well, while the deputy was delivered and found spiritual Light.  Bro. Jeff explains more as he wraps up the account of this spiritual battle.

Welcome Home, Part 15

While the hand of God usually brings blessing, it can also bring judgment. As a consequence of his spiritual darkness, the sorcerer receives a punishment of seasonal darkness. The Bible doesn’t continue the account of the sorcerer’s life, but we hope he surrendered to Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Bro. Jeff describes the eternal darkness that results for those who don’t receive the wonderful gift of salvation. So much in this message applies to us today.

Welcome Home, Part 14

Continuing to develop Paul and Barnabas’s recount of their first missionary journey, Bro. Jeff reaches the climax of a battle between light and dark.  We gain more insight into spiritual warfare, the must-have weapon in our artillery, and God’s fitting punishment for the demon-controlled sorcerer.

Welcome Home, Part 13

Previously, Bro. Jeff described the scene and two of the characters – the sorcerer and the deputy.  Here, he describes in more detail the third character, the warrior.  This inspiring Biblical account also provides insight, encouragement, and advice for Christians today.
