Not only did we enjoy learning more about the recommendation to the first missionary journey, but we were also extremely blessed to hear Bro. Jeff’s personal testimony. “People who are growing are hungry.” They are also committed to helping others be born again. Are you spiritually growing? Hungry for God’s Word? Sharing the gospel? We are urged to be diligent and encouraged in our blessings by pastor in this powerful message.
Whether it be those who couldn’t have children, those struggling in the middle of a storm, those needing forgiveness, those going through sorrow, those being intimidated, those needing to hear the gospel, those in the nastiest of places, the New Testament provides many examples of people who received grace and mercy in their time of need. God will hear and help those who humbly bow and seek Him in prayer.
Bro. Jeff lists a “top 10” Old Testament examples of people who sought God in prayer, sometimes changing His mind. When we need God’s leadership, His intervention, His comfort, His mercy and grace, then we are promised that He will help in our time of need if we seek Him.
There is no telling how God may move when God’s people come boldly to the throne of grace, and Bro. Jeff motivates with a list of powerful potentials found in prayer.
What a privilege it is to be able to enter into God’s presence! We don’t have to wait until Heaven! Who has this privilege? Why do they have this right? Bro. Jeff delivers a stirring message answering those questions.
Even when believers cannot go anywhere else, they can always go to God’s throne of grace. Bro. Jeff exhorts us to be fervent in seeking God in private, unrushed prayer. Learn more about our profession, our praying, and accounts of those who sought God in prayer.
The contrast between the world’s perception of greatness and God’s view of greatness is clear in the passage of scripture that is the focus this message. Our view of greatness often falls more in line with that of the Jewish leaders in Jesus’ day, but Bro. Jeff encourages to to adopt God’s view of greatness and to see Jesus for who He really is.
Bro. Jeff reminds us of how loving our Heavenly Father is. God wants a relationship with you and wants to bless you. The door of separation is one door to those blessings; Pastor discusses the command, consequences, and completion of the blessing of being set apart as one of God’s children.
